Under the general supervision of the Superintendent, the CTAE Director is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) programs for Charlton County Schools. The Director supports the development and implementation of CTAE pathways, career readiness initiatives, work-based learning opportunities, industry and community partnerships, CTSOs, and CTAE grants and ensures programs remain aligned with district goals and Georgia Department of Education requirements.
Essential Functions
- Coordinates and monitors CTAE programs, pathways, and courses to ensure alignment with Georgia CTAE standards and district goals.
- Supports the development and continuous improvement of CTAE pathways based on student interests, postsecondary opportunities, and local workforce needs.
- Coordinates CTAE reporting, program documentation, data collection, and compliance requirements.
- Assists with the development and monitoring of CTAE budgets, Perkins funding, and other grants.
- Supports CTAE teachers and administrators with program needs, professional learning, equipment, resources, and instructional requirements.
- Coordinates and promotes Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) and related student leadership and competitive activities.
- Develops and maintains partnerships with local businesses, industry, technical colleges, colleges, workforce agencies, and community organizations.
- Coordinates work-based learning opportunities, including internships, job shadowing, apprenticeships, mentorships, and other career-connected experiences.
- Works with counselors and administrators to promote career exploration, pathway completion, industry credentials, dual enrollment, and postsecondary and workforce readiness.
- Coordinates career fairs, employer events, college and technical college opportunities, and other career-readiness activities.
- Monitors CTAE enrollment, pathway completion, industry credentials, student participation, and other program data to identify areas for improvement.
- Promotes CTAE programs and opportunities to students, parents, staff, and the community.
- Represents Charlton County Schools at appropriate CTAE, workforce, business, and community meetings and events.
- Maintains current knowledge of Georgia CTAE policies, standards, funding requirements, and workforce trends.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Valid Georgia teaching or leadership certificate.
- Successful experience in education, CTAE, career readiness, or a related field.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and establish positive working relationships.
- Ability to organize programs, manage deadlines, and use data to support program improvement.
Experience & Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred.
- Experience with Georgia CTAE programs and pathway development preferred.
- Experience with CTSOs, work-based learning, industry credentials, or dual enrollment preferred.
- Experience developing business, industry, and postsecondary partnerships preferred.
- Experience with Perkins funding, CTAE grants, or program reporting preferred.
