Job summary

Applitrack seeks a CTAE Coordinator to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of Career and Technical Education programs under the CTAE Director. The role emphasizes collaboration with educators, industry partners, and stakeholders to expand work-based learning and ensure program quality.

The Coordinator will manage partnerships, coordinate career exploration activities, and promote industry certifications while aligning with district and state standards and reporting

Qualifications

  • A valid Certification in any Career and Technical Education area or equivalent issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
  • Minimum of five years of teaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Is present at work every day and arrives at assigned time.
  • Demonstrates an attitude and demeanor that contributes to an atmosphere of harmony and goodwill in the workplace.
  • Interacts in a professional manner with students, staff, and school/district leaders.
  • Assists with employer recruitment, worksite evaluation, and the expansion of work-based learning opportunities to increase student participation, ensure program quality, and support compliance with district and state Work-Based Learning standards.
  • Establishes, expands, and maintains partnerships with business and industry, community organizations, post-secondary institutions and economic development agencies to increase student access to work-based learning, internships, apprenticeships, and career-related experiences.
  • Plans, coordinates, and implements career development, career exploration, and connecting activities, including job shadowing, field trips, industry presentations, career fairs, mock interviews, career readiness portfolio development, and other college and workforce readiness initiatives.
  • Collaborates with CTAE teachers, counselors, administrators, industry partners, and advisory committees to support CTAE program promotion, student recruitment, business engagement, and career pathway opportunities.
  • Supports CTAE industry‑recognized certifications and credentialing opportunities and assists students in preparing for postsecondary education, careers, and workforce success.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings, professional development activities, educational conferences, and training workshops to maintain program effectiveness and communicate relevant information.
  • Supports continuous program improvement through data analysis, teacher support, professional learning, and collaboration with school and district stakeholders.
  • Serves as the liaison among students, parents, employers, counselors, CTAE instructors, and administrators to support student success, career development, and continuous program improvement.
  • Comply with all requirements for mandatory reporting of child abuse, illegal harassment, or any criminal activity for which the employee becomes aware.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Goal: Under the direction of the CTAE Director, the CTAE Coordinator supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of CTAE programs.

Reports to: Director of Career and Technical Education

Qualifications/Requirements
  • A valid Certification in any Career and Technical Education area or equivalent issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

  • Physical demands – position requires some standing, sitting, and walking. Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling will not normally exceed thirty (30) pounds, and will usually be around ten (10) pounds
