Job summary

McLaren Port Huron is seeking a part-time CT technologist to perform computerized tomography scans and support imaging procedures in line with established policies and procedures. The role requires clear patient communication, careful positioning, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will operate and maintain tomography equipment, prepare patients, and ensure accurate image capture for physician interpretation.

Qualifications

• Certified CT technologist required.
• Cross-training to CT within 12 months if not CT-certified.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
• Certified in general radiologic technology by ARRT.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address concerns to comfort patients.
• Operate and maintain imaging department equipment including tomography scanners.
• Prepare patients and position them to capture the requested images.
• Administer medications within technologist’s scope as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Perform quality assurance and practice radiation safety to reduce exposure.
• Maintain documentation, logs, charts, forms and records in paper and electronic formats.
• Maintain adequate supplies and perform routine maintenance and function checks on imaging equipment.
• Assist other areas of radiology as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as required.
