Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT scans under general supervision. You will operate imaging equipment, position patients, and ensure image quality and patient comfort.

Required credentials include AMA-approved radiology training and ARRT certification with current BLS. Cross-training to CT within 12 months may be available, with full-time hours and on-site duties at McLaren Health Care facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
• Certified in general radiologic technology by ARRT.
• Current BLS certification.
• Cross-train to CT certification within 12 months if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures and addresses patient concerns to foster comfort and meet patient needs.
• Operates and maintains all assigned imaging department equipment including tomography scanners.
• Prepares patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning for the requested images.
• Properly identifies, prepares and/or administers medications within the technologist’s scope as prescribed.
• Completes quality assurance and practices radiation safety to reduce exposure.
• Certified as a CT technologist or cross-train to CT within 12 months if not yet certified.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved radiology program and ARRT certification, with current BLS.
