Job summary

MercyOne Northeast Iowa is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to perform imaging procedures, assist Radiologists, and ensure continuity of patient care. The role supports a rotating shift schedule and requires ARRT/NMTCB certification plus CT experience.

Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, obtaining histories, providing education, and maintaining safety and infection control standards across age groups from neonates to geriatrics.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• ARRT/NMTCB registered; IDPH permit to practice; Mandatory Reporter; BLS.
• Ability to work independently with speed, accuracy, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient, room, and equipment for procedure.
• Collects history data from patient and provides patient education
• Provides patient care in accordance with department policy.
• Takes radiographic exposures appropriate to procedure.
• Performs multiple imaging procedures and assists Radiologist with procedures.
• Performs trauma scanning.
• Assists with CT Guided Biopsies
• Performs 3D and angiographic scanning procedures.
• Provides radiologist pertinent information for interpretation.
• Adheres to safety and infection control policies.
• Provides age-appropriate care per assigned unit.
• Birth-28 days: Neonate; 1-18 Months: Infant; 18 Mo-3 Yrs: Toddler; 3-6 Yrs: Pre-School; 6-12 Yrs: School-Aged; 12-18 Yrs: Adolescents; 18-65 Yrs: Adults; 65+ Yrs: Geriatrics.
