Job summary

THOM Thomas Hospitals in West Virginia is seeking a CT technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures, assist radiologists, and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced department.

The selected candidate will rotate through diagnostic radiology, maintain equipment and room readiness, and contribute to quality improvement and infection control. This role requires ARRT or NMTCB certification and state licensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• Radiography certification with ARRT or NMTCB.
• Must possess current licensure as required by state board.
• State license specifics by MD, OH, PA, WV as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room, equipment, materials for patient exams and maintains sterile technique.
• Performs examinations per Physician’s orders and explains procedures; relays patient history to Radiologist.
• Observes patient and equipment; reports unusual occurrences; transports and assists patients.
• Documents patient status in radiology/CT chart and notes protocol variances.
• Maintains stock supplies, labels films, and adheres to techniques for quality imaging.
• Practices safe radiation exposure and general safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Uses PACS to ensure exams are available for radiologist review and physician callbacks.
• Performs other duties as assigned by department manager or lead technologist.

Education

Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program

ARRT Radiography certification or NMTCB

Current state licensure per board requirements

WV license requirement as applicable
