Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• IL hires must be students from an accredited radiology program and in 2nd year of clinical training.
• No prior experience required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA) and ARRT registration to be obtained within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Support imaging technologists with preparation of patient and exam room.
• Organize and prep exam rooms and maintain equipment.
• Verify patient identification and explain procedures to patients.
• Assist patients in preparation for exams and transfer to/from exam rooms.
• Transport patients between areas as needed.
• Use radiology systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, and obtain patient information.
• Review medical records for clinical information and ensure exam accuracy.
• Position patients and select exposure factors under supervision of a licensed radiographer.
• Document images and records in RIS/PACS following workflows.
