Job summary
UAB Medicine is seeking a CRNA to provide anesthesia under anesthesiologist supervision for diverse surgical procedures and cardio-thoracic cases. The role includes participation in nurse anesthesia student instruction and delivers care within a premier Alabama health system.
Beneficiaries include robust education programs, generous PTO and wellness resources, and PSLF eligibility for eligible positions. The position is part-time with early morning shifts and alternating weekends.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
- Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with CRNA Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
- Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
- Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
