Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a Recovery Engagement Specialist for the RESET Center in San Francisco. This role supports individuals under the influence through sobering processes, ensuring safety, hydration, and comfort within a compassionate, trauma-informed, and person-centered approach.

The position emphasizes engagement, trust-building from lived experience, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, dignified care in a community setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of personal recovery.
• Experience with diverse populations including homelessness, housing instability, and mental health crises.
• Willingness to obtain Overdose Prevention and Narcan training within 30 days of hire.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first week of employment.
• Company vaccination policy compliance required before start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide participant support and monitoring during sobering, observe wellbeing and logs.
• Engage participants with compassionate, non-judgmental communication and foster rapport.
• Collaborate with health workers and supervisors to maintain a safe, trauma-informed environment.
• Assist with center cleanliness and sanitation to support a dignified experience.
• Participate in ongoing training in Motivational Interviewing, crisis de-escalation, and team-based care.
