Job summary

GEO Reentry Services LLC is seeking a Counselor to administer and score standardized substance abuse screening and assessments for participants entering the Department of Corrections. An ASAM-based level of care will be determined from the assessment, and treatment levels will follow ASAM guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Health and Human Services counseling field with ADT designation or
• Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field with CAC-AD certification
• Certified as an alcohol and drug counselor by the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to work varied schedule including evenings

Responsibilities

• Administers, scores and interprets screening tools including TCU Drug Screen and TAP
• Conducts intake screenings and back-end assessments for standing populations
• Creates and maintains individual treatment plans for participants
• Delivers individual and group counseling and maintains clinical charts per COMAR
