Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in counseling or a related field.
• Successful counseling and advising experience at the secondary or college level.
• Commitment to promoting belonging, inclusion, and multicultural competence in education/work environment.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Providing counseling and advising services.
• Teaching student success courses as needed.
• Developing, implementing and assessing retention strategies and education plans for students with academic difficulties.
• Serving on college committees or work groups as needed.
• Engaging in professional development activities offered by the College.
• Using technology for advising and as a learning resource.
• Acting as a student advocate when appropriate.
• Working daytime hours (Mon–Fri 8:30am–5:00pm), with some evenings and weekends as needed.
