Job summary

LifeSpan Therapy is seeking a part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Westfield, Indiana. The role supports occupational therapists in delivering rehabilitative care and improving residents’ daily living skills through targeted activities and exercises.

You will document treatment outcomes, maintain a safe environment, and collaborate with the therapy team to tailor plans for individual residents, promoting functional independence and recovery.

Qualifications

• Certification as a COTA from an accredited program.
• Current and valid state licensure to practice as a COTA.
• Must have a valid Indiana Operator's license.
• Basic computer literacy to document resident records.

Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Contributes to the evaluation process by performing objective tests under supervision.
• Provide direct resident care including therapeutic exercises and modalities under supervision.
• Assist with ordering and maintaining supplies as needed.
• Occasionally travels to other locations to provide therapy coverage when needed.
• Maintain clear documentation of treatments and communicate with therapy team and residents.
• Prepare and organize therapy equipment and treatment areas for efficient sessions.
• Educate residents and families on home exercise programs to support recovery.
