LifeSpan is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Westfield, IN for a PRN/Days shift. You will support occupational therapists in delivering rehabilitative care, focusing on restoring daily living skills and independence for residents.

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification required.
• Current and valid state licensure to practice as a COTA.
• Indiana Operator's license required.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.
• Basic computer literacy for electronic health records.
• Experience in outpatient or long-term care settings preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with residents and teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to other LifeSpan locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans to improve residents' functional abilities.
• Contribute to the evaluation process by performing objective tests under supervision.
• Provide direct resident care including therapeutic exercises, activities, and modalities under supervision.
• Assist with ordering and maintaining supplies as needed.
• Occasionally travels to other LifeSpan locations to provide therapy coverage when needed.
• Maintain clear and timely documentation of treatments and communicate with the therapy team and residents.
• Prepare and organize therapy equipment and treatment areas for efficient sessions.
• Educate residents and families on home exercise programs to support recovery.
