Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab in Belmont, WV, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a PRN, part-time role at Belmont Healthcare Center. You will work as an in-house team member delivering therapy to residents and supporting the rehab program.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans under supervision, assisting residents to improve motor skills and independence, and collaborating with the OT, staff and families while ensuring compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• COTA education obtained in an accredited two-year associate degree program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License.

Responsibilities

• Helps clients improve their quality of life by helping them compensate for limitations, such as, helping injured workers improve their motor skills and re-enter the labor force, and teaching persons with learning disabilities to prepare meals or to use public transportation and increase their independence Implements treatment plan through direct treatment and collaboration with Occupational Therapist, education of treatment staff and other members of team involved in the treatment plan, as well as family consultation and training. Complies with the documentation requirements of the rehab department and facility under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
