Job summary

Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME seeks a part-time Cook to support food preparation for catering and hot and cold food production. You will work under the Head Chef and Assistants, ensuring a clean, sanitary workspace and proper recipe execution.

Responsibilities include assembling recipes, preparing ingredients, assisting with catering setups, and operating kitchen equipment. Prior kitchen experience preferred; background checks required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or vocational/technical degree in the culinary or related field preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic cooking techniques and their application in catering and/or institutional settings.

Responsibilities

• Assembling and cooking recipes for daily menus
• Preparation of ingredients in recipes for both hot and cold food production
