TITLE: PART‑TIME COOK

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate
• Statement of Health
• Clearance of Criminal History Background Check

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Standing and walking for extended periods of time, bending, pushing, moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently.

JOB GOAL:

To assist Food Service Coordinator as liaison to kitchen staff, assist with purchasing, development of kitchen procedures, and maintenance of food safety records. Additionally, to prepare and serve attractive and nutritious meals to students and staff in an efficient, timely, sanitary, and friendly manner.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Efficiently prepare large quantities of food using recipes and production sheets to ensure quality and quantity control.
• Safely and sanitarily operate all kitchen equipment, appliances, and utensils.
• Maintain accurate food production and safety records, strictly following HACCP operating procedures.
• Serve breakfast and lunch to students and staff adhering to USDA standards and portion controls.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, appearance, and personal hygiene (including proper dress, handwashing, and glove use).
• Wash, dry, and store all dishes and equipment; keep work, serving, cooking, and storage areas.
• Assist other food service staff as needed and participate in required professional standard trainings.
• All duties assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

5‑Day work‑week (only on a full school day), Part Time; 10:30‑1:00. 174 Student Attendance Days.

Salary range $16.85/hr - $22.65/hr.

EVALUATION:

The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
