Job summary

Garden City Healthcare Center is seeking a reliable Part-Time Cook to support our dietary services in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Modesto, CA. The role involves preparing nutritious meals, following menus, and ensuring a clean, sanitary kitchen that complies with health regulations.

The candidate should have a High School diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of cooking experience in a hospital or long-term care setting, and ServSafe certification. PCC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of cooking experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
• ServSafe Certificate required/maintained.
• Knowledge of PCC software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen areas in a safe, clean, sanitary condition.
• Prepare and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow approved menus, recipes, and portion control guidelines.
• Prepare special and therapeutic diets and modified textures as required.
• Record and monitor food temperatures for all meals.
• Present food attractively for residents and assist with serving meals.
