Mt. Ararat Middle School, part of MSAD 75, is seeking a part-time Cook to join our school cafeteria team in Topsham, Maine. The position includes food preparation, serving students and staff, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and inventory.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a Maine CHRC background check. The pay rate ranges from $22.61 to $23.29 per hour, with opportunities to contribute to a supportive school community

Serving Maine’s Midcoast communities of Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Harpswell, and Topsham, MSAD 75 is home to over 2,350 students and more than 600 faculty and staff members.

MSAD 75 is seeking a part-time Cook at Mt. Ararat Middle School to join our vibrant educational community.

PAY RATE: $22.61-$23.29/hour (DOE)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Preparation of food, food portions and serving food to students, staff and visitors.
• Operate cash register.
• Notify the Food Service Director of supplies to be ordered.
• Clean up and maintain the kitchen and garbage collection area.
• Clean and maintain all food service equipment. Notify the Food Service Director of fixtures or equipment in need of repair or replacement.
• Receive and store supplies and maintain all storage areas.
• Submit reports within required timeframes to the Food Service Director; including, but not limited to, daily production reports.
• Follow applicable State and Federal regulations for the USDA Child Nutrition Program.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bending/Twisting: 3-5 hours
• Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: 3-5 hours
• Hands/Arms/Finger Dexterity/Hand Gripping: 6-8 hours, dexterity of hand and fingers to operate a variety of kitchen equipment.
