Job summary

Great Western Dining Service at our North Central Texas College location is looking for a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions. They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as cook.
• Knowledge of grilling, baking, boiling, and other methods.
• Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment.
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking (chopping, peeling, etc.).
• Prepare, portion, and cook items for meals or events.
• Follow basic recipes and production information.
• Present dishes attractively and ensure kitchen cleanliness.
• Store food items properly and follow HACCP/safety policies.
