Job summary

Weston County Health Services is seeking a Part-Time Cook to join our dietary team in Wyoming. You will prepare and assemble meals for patients and residents, follow approved recipes, and maintain sanitary conditions in storage and serving areas.

The role requires working with nursing staff and dietary teams, flexibility in shifts, and adherence to infection control practices. We offer growth opportunities and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to cross train as dietary aide and pick up shifts covering time off.
• SERV Safe Certification or equivalent preferred.
• Exceptional knowledge of dietary terminology and processes or the ability to learn quickly.
• Strong communication skills and a service-focused attitude.
• Organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks meals in accordance with Wyoming State Department of Health regulations and approved recipes.
• Uses only equipment in which competency has been demonstrated.
• Maintains daily/weekly/monthly cleaning schedules for equipment.
• Keeps kitchen and dietary areas clean, organized and well stocked.
• Keeps temperature logs up to date and ensures safe storage of food.
