Job summary

Western Slope Health Center – Placerville, CA is seeking a dependable Part-Time Cook to join our Dietary team. You will prepare nutritious, appealing meals, follow established menus and recipes, and help maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment in a skilled nursing setting.

The role reports to the Dietary Supervisor; you may assume kitchen operations in their absence, supervise others as needed, and help with special diets. Starting wage is $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience as a cook in healthcare settings preferred.
• Experience preparing meals in large quantities preferred.
• Experience preparing special diets is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following established menus, recipes, and portion-control guidelines.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation.
• Record and monitor food temperatures.
• Assist with serving meals to residents.
• Possess supervisory ability in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
