Join Saint Therese as a Part-Time Cook on-site, with a schedule that includes every other weekend and holiday. Wages range from $23.18 to $31.46 per hour, dependent on experience, and you will prepare hot and cold meals while maintaining high standards of nutrition and safety.

You’ll cook, bake, clean equipment, and support events in a well-organized kitchen, following dietary cards and production sheets. The role requires reading English, teamwork, and strong customer engagement in a care

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional culinary experience.
• Experience in nutrition or specialized diets (mechanical, pureed, low-sodium, diabetic diets etc.).
• Experience cooking in front of guests, with strong customer engagement skills.
• Experience working in high-pressure environments while maintaining quality and presentation.
• Ability to read English and follow dietary cards, menus and production sheets.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to communicate through English oral and written skills.
• Background in menu development and dietary accommodations (allergies, restrictions, and preferences).
• Strong understanding of food safety protocols and kitchen sanitation.
• Exceptional cooking skills with an ability to execute high-quality meals consistently.
• Ability to plan, prep, and execute multiple meals daily without compromising quality.
• Capable of adjusting menus based on ingredient availability and client preferences.
• Keeps a well-maintained, organized, and hygienic workspace at all times.
• Can work independently, meet deadlines, and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• When working with support staff, must be able to delegate effectively while maintaining a positive team dynamic by working along with the nursing staff.
• Willingness to adjust to flexible hours based on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Cook and bake high-quality meals for residents.
• Prepare hot and cold meals for residents and manage food service events.
• Clean equipment and maintain a well-organized kitchen environment.
• Follow state/local food codes and safety practices.
• Read dietary cards, menus and production sheets for accurate preparation.
• Work with nursing staff to support resident care during meals.
