Job summary

Trinity Health Senior Communities in Wisconsin is seeking a Part-Time Cook to prepare meals for residents in accordance with dietary guidelines and policies. The role requires availability for rotating shifts and weekends as described, with emphasis on quality food service.

You will collaborate with the Dietary Manager and other departments to ensure menus are followed, food safety standards are met, and meals are served timely. Prior experience in long-term care or geriatrics is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to planned menus and review menus before cooking.
• Complete required forms and reports and coordinate with the Manager.
• Coordinate service with other departments and assist in serving meals on time.
• Follow established policies and safety regulations at all times.
• Standardize methods of work and establish food service production lines.
• Maintain good working rapport with inter-department staff and residents.
• Assist in inventorying and stocking food and supplies for meals.
• Assist in food preparation for special meals and events.
