• prepares and cooks food for residents
• monitors food service for nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards
• uses microwave, stove, oven, can openers, dishwashers, slicers, grease traps, vent hoods, and freezers
• cleans and inspects equipment, appliances, and work areas in order to ensure cleanliness and functional operation
• prepares major meals by following recipes, determining food quantities and following meal time schedules
• follows all food safety regulations
