Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a part-time cook to support our dining program. In this role you will prepare high-quality meals following standard recipes and special diet orders, and work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage and the Sous Chef.

You should have at least two years of kitchen experience, knowledge of sanitation, and the ability to communicate clearly with the restaurant team. The position offers benefits and opportunities for growth within the dining services.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in all stations of a hotel kitchen, a restaurant, or a similar operation.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling standards.
• The ability to communicate clearly and work cohesively with other restaurant team members.
• Must be self-motivated, organized, and professional; able to work independently and multitask.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of high-quality food following standard recipes and special diet orders.
• Working with the Director of Food & Beverage and Sous Chef to manage all aspects of food and supply management including securing items in time for food prep, ensuring leftovers are stored correctly, and inventories maintained.
