The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in accounting or equivalent, 5+ years in property accounting including 2+ years in a supervisory role, and hands-on experience with Yardi.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent (±4 years experience).
• 5+ years progressive property accounting experience with 2+ years in management.
• Experience with Yardi software.
• Availability to work 24 hours per week within M-F timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close for 20 properties.
• Oversee portfolio closes for 4 property accountants and coach them.
• Budget to actuals, variance analysis.
• Calculate quarter-end investor distribution.

• Portfolio includes a mix of commercial and residential properties
• This role reports directly to the CFO and has process control for month-, quarter-, and year-end close

Key Responsibilities for the Par-Time Controller:

• Own month-end close for 20 properties
• Oversee portfolio closes for 4 property accountants
  • Coaching these individuals
• Budget to actuals, variance analysis
• Calculate quarter-end investor distribution

Qualifications for the Part-Time Controller:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or experience equivalent (+4 years)
• 5+ years of progressive experience in property accounting with 2+ years in a management role
• Experience with Yardi software
• Availability to work 24 hours per week within M-F timeframe

Hourly Rate, depending on experience:

$85 - 100 per hour
