Job summary

Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation (CHLDC) seeks a Part-Time Construction Specialist for the YouthBuild IGNITE program in NYC. You will provide hands-on construction training, supervision on worksites, and support for lab sessions and internships, ensuring safety and professional conduct.

Required are strong construction industry knowledge, 10+ years experience, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years experience in the construction industry.
• Extensive knowledge of NYC construction industry including union and non-union pathways.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong public speaking, listening, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide part-time construction training and program support.
• Supervise participants during construction lab sessions and internships.
• Maintain spaces, tools, PPE, and materials for training goals.
• Ensure safety protocols and professional conduct on worksites.
• Coordinate site visits, labs, and guest speakers as assigned.
