Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Part Time Assistant Construction Materials Testing Lab Technician to support projects in the Atlanta, GA area. You will perform soils testing, field and lab concrete sampling, and assist with data analysis and reporting while adhering to project specs.

This role requires a High School Diploma, 0–2 years experience, valid driver's license, ability to travel within about 2 hours, and the stamina to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of related experience on complex projects preferred.
• Certifications may include ICC soils, ACI concrete, ICC concrete reinforcing steel, and ICC masonry.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Reliability – arrive on site before scheduled times.
• Ability to prepare reports and documentation.
• Ability to travel and work overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass drug test, physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab classification and index property testing of soils.
• Perform density testing of soils.
• Sample and test concrete in the field and lab.
• Monitor testing data for accuracy and reasonableness.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications.
