Job summary

City of Denison is seeking a Concession Manager to work with the Recreation Manager and staff to develop and implement SOPs for concessions, oversee inventory, scheduling, and event coordination at Parks and Recreation facilities.

You will train staff, ensure health code compliance, manage budgets, and improve processes for cost-effective operations during events. Requires high school diploma and supervisory experience; food safety permit preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to provide friendly service to patrons and manage concessions staff.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling, inventory management, and health/safety standards.
• Experience developing standard operating procedures for food service operations.
• Familiarity with scheduling staff for events and understanding labor laws and city rules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare concessions area before events and ensure timely opening.
• Train and supervise concession staff in customer service, safety, sanitation, and equipment use.
• Monitor inventory and restock supplies; manage payments and reconcile cash.
• Ensure compliance with health codes and city rules across facilities.
