Job summary

The City of Phenix City seeks a concession operations supervisor to manage daily duties at athletic concession stands, including training staff, food prep, cash handling, inventory and merchandising. You will assist in event planning with the Entertainment Coordinator and promote events across channels.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED with restaurant or events management experience; a valid driver’s license is preferred to support mobility across facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates preferred.
• Experience in business, restaurant, or events management.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee concession stands operations, pricing and product selection.
• Fill in at stands as needed and supervise staff.
• Oversee sanitation of facilities and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with Athletic Coordinator on safety guidelines.
• Place and receive inventory orders; weekly deliveries.
• Plan events with Entertainment Coordinator; staff supervision.
• Promote events via flyers, signs and social media.
• Perform profit/loss analyses for stands and adjust inventory.
• Maintain inventory control procedures for facilities.
• Track event attendance and report P&L to Entertainment Coordinator.
• Adjust procedures per P&L insights to balance service and profitability.
• Collaborate with department head to develop a unified vision.
• Schedule concessions workers and train staff.
• Plan concession/beverage stock for events; suggest improvements.
• Maintain strong communication with coordinators.
• Attend department meetings and propose enhancements.
• Support facility management and quality control.
