Job summary

Pikes Peak State College, located in Colorado Springs, seeks a Part‑time Instructor to teach Computer Science courses and contribute to student success. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science Information Systems, or programming related field from a regionally accredited institution OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in computer related courses.
• Documented experience programming in C, C++, C#, Java, Python or Assembly.
• Three years of industry experience in programming, information technology, systems analysis and design.
• Teaching or training experience.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, UNIX, etc.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Commitment to serving underrepresented populations or populations affected by societal inequalities.

Responsibilities

• Meeting all scheduled classes/labs/clinics and providing instruction.
• Using teaching methods designed to reach students of varying backgrounds.
• Informing students of course requirements through a syllabus and objectives.
• Evaluating students on a continuing basis.
• Participating in department/college assessments of learning outcomes.
• Recommending instructional materials and equipment.
• Maintaining and submitting records as required by policy.
• Promoting affirmative action concepts.
