Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) Palomino Gardens Retirement Community is seeking a Part-Time Server to create meaningful dining experiences for residents. You will join a collaborative team, respond to feedback, and contribute to a caring community environment.

The role welcomes individuals aged 15+, with no prior work experience required, and requires effective English communication and obtaining a food handler permit within two weeks of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age or older.
• No previous work experience is required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and employees.
• Ability to secure required food handler permits as required by local ordinances within two (2) weeks of hire.
• State regulations may require certain applicants to obtain a work permit before beginning employment. If this applies to you based on your age and state of residence, the Community Manager at the location where you are applying will provide guidance on the necessary steps.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the dining experience by assisting residents in Casual Dining by carrying trays, offering beverages, and proactively meeting service needs.
• Create memorable moments in Fine Dining by greeting tables, guiding residents through menu selections, taking orders, and serving courses.
• Keep the dining room clean by clearing and resetting tables, handling dishes, refilling water, and setting tables before meals.
• Assist with cleaning tasks like vacuuming carpets and maintaining salad bar cleanliness.
• Deliver room service meals and pick up trays with a friendly attitude.
• Listen to resident comments and share feedback with a manager when needed.
• Help where needed by completing support work and other tasks assigned by supervisors.
