Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) - Walnut Grove Retirement is seeking a friendly Part-Time Server to create joyful dining experiences for residents. No prior work experience is required, and English communication with residents and staff is essential.

You may need to obtain a food handler permit within two weeks of hire, per local rules. This role supports casual and fine dining service in a welcoming, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age or older.
• No prior work experience required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and employees.
• Ability to secure required food handler permits as required by local ordinances within two weeks of hire.
• Some states may require a work permit; guidance provided by the Community Manager at hire location.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the dining experience by assisting residents in Casual Dining and responding to service needs.
• Greet tables, guide menu choices, take orders, and serve beverages to desserts.
• Clear and reset tables, handle dishes, refill water carafes, and set tables before meals.
• Vacuum carpets, clean the salad bar, and perform other cleaning tasks as needed.
• Deliver room service meals and pick up trays with a friendly attitude.
• Listen to resident feedback and report it to a manager when needed.
• Assist with other tasks assigned by supervisors.
