Job summary

Flipany is seeking a Wellness Coordinator to support site-based distribution and wellness initiatives in Deerfield Beach. You will engage community members, assist volunteers and students, help with registrations and data entry, and collaborate with schools and nonprofits to promote health equity.

The role emphasizes hands-on distribution support, outreach material development, and strong coordination with partners to ensure welcoming, effective programs and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or equivalent experience.
• Experience in public health, community health, nonprofit programs, social services, education, or related field preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Support operation of FLIPANY’s food pantry markets and community food distribution programs.
• Assist with safe, timely, and efficient food distribution at assigned locations.
• Welcome and assist community members participating in food distributions.
• Coordinate and provide direction to volunteers and students supporting distribution activities.
• Assist with participant registration, check-in, surveys, and other required program documentation.
• Enter participant and program data into FLIPANY’s data management systems.
• Support community outreach efforts to promote food pantry markets, wellness programs, and food security initiatives.
• Develop or assist with outreach materials such as flyers, postcards, presentations, etc.
• Build relationships with schools, families, community organizations, food banks, grocers, nonprofits, and other partners.
• Assist with presentations and community engagement activities related to health and wellness.
