Voluntary Action Center of Northern Illinois is seeking a part-time Vehicle Operator in Sandwich, IL to provide safe, reliable transportation for community members. This role supports mobility for seniors and individuals with disabilities within 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Qualifikationen

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening.
• Experience in transportation, public service, or similar field.

Aufgaben

• Safely operate agency vehicles under various road and weather conditions.
• Assist passengers boarding, riding, and exiting vehicles.
• Secure mobility devices and provide passenger assistance as needed.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding routes and passenger movement.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate logs (trips, mileage, fuel, fares, and hours).
• Deliver excellent customer service while representing VAC’s mission and values.
