Job summary

Monarch Healthcare in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a part-time Psychiatrist to join our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT). The role travels to clients’ homes to deliver community-based psychiatric care.

This 10–24 hour per week position is onsite with no remote option, with 10 hours weekly in Guilford County and 14 in Forsyth County. The psychiatrist will evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe medications to improve quality of life and independence, coordinating with local providers and the care

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• ABPN board eligible or board certified.
• State license – Psychiatry (MD/DO).
• Valid USA driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose individuals on the ACTT; provide DSM-based diagnoses.
• Prescribe medications as clinically appropriate.
• Coordinate care with other providers and care teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation and medical records in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and treatment options.
• Encourage participation in mental health therapy when suitable.
• Collaborate with therapists, psychologists, and other clinicians to discuss treatment plans.
• Provide supervision to physician assistants and nurse practitioners as needed.
