Faithful Friends Animal Society is seeking a part‑time Community Programs Assistant to support the Pet Therapy Program, Free Pet Food Bank, and Community Outreach & Events in Delaware. The role focuses on coordinating volunteers, managing schedules, and fostering community partnerships to expand impact.

The position offers a flexible schedule with occasional evenings and weekends, requiring strong organizational and communication skills, plus a passion for animal welfare and community service.

Qualifications

• Experience with volunteer management software or databases is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds regularly.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outreach activities, supporting pet food assistance efforts, and helping manage the Pet Therapy Program.
• Assist with scheduling, onboarding, and communications with volunteers and partner facilities.
• Maintain calendars, records, certifications, and required documentation.
• Support event planning, setup, staffing, and post‑event follow‑ups.
