Job summary

Project Access, Inc. is seeking a Community Program Coordinator for The Palms in Rowland Heights, CA.

This part-time, 29 hrs/wk role offers $25–$25.50/hour and requires delivering programs across four pillars: Economic Stability, Education for Youth & Families, Health & Wellness, and Community Building. You will coordinate after-school activities, engage residents, build partnerships, and support food distribution with a resident-centered approach.

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in multi-family housing or related fields.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field.
  • Experience in after-school programs or educational settings for youth.
  • Experience serving diverse populations with cultural competency.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; basic with Adobe Acrobat, Canva, Salesforce, Concur.
  • Strong time management, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter, multi-tasker, and strong communicator.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • CPR & First Aid certified (or obtained within 90 days).
  • Successful completion of background check and LiveScan

Responsibilities

  • Implement core programs across four pillars: Economic Stability, Education for Youth & Families, Health & Wellness, and Community Building.
  • Conduct outreach and survey resident needs.
  • Coordinate after-school and teen programs with homework help and enrichment activities.
  • Plan and facilitate resident workshops and group sessions.
  • Develop partnerships with local providers to deliver services and workshops.
  • Plan and facilitate community-building events.
  • Provide residents with information and referrals to access resources and services.
  • Support food distribution and manage food bank partnerships.
  • Build strong relationships with property management and schedule regular communication.
  • Organize monthly outreach including door-to-door, digital/virtual, and on-site presence.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and interns.
  • Use personal vehicle for supplies and attend offsite meetings (IRS mileage rate).
  • Publish monthly newsletters and calendar of events.
  • Collect and submit program outcomes data focusing on social impact.
  • Provide input and adhere to budgets for resident service programs.
