Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Community Phlebotomist for a part-time role with early hours, 8am–12pm, Monday to Friday. The post involves visiting patients in the community, clinics, GP surgeries, and domiciliary settings.

Travel across designated areas is required and a full driving license with access to a vehicle is essential. You will work within the district nursing hubs, supported by an experienced team and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy knowledge and skills.
• Excellent communication with patients and teams.
• Ability to travel to multiple destinations within work hours.
• Able to lift and carry equipment and be on feet for long periods.

Responsabilités

• Maintain patient dignity and confidentiality at all times.
• Undertake domiciliary visits with access to a vehicle and driving license.
• Collect blood samples and record details accurately.
• Prepare work areas and ensure infection control procedures are followed.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients and reassure needle-phobic individuals.
• Support and train newer colleagues and respond to team needs.
