Job summary

Dismas Charities Inc is seeking a part-time Maintenance Worker to uphold the physical plant. The role involves general upkeep, repairs, and landscaping to ensure safe, clean facilities for residents and staff.

Position is 16–20 hours per week on the 1st shift, weekends and holidays with flexible scheduling as needed. Requires a high school diploma or GED, two years of maintenance experience, CPR/First Aid, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; at least two years of general maintenance experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and First Aid certification; valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to pass criminal background checks and travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to the Director for the management and upkeep of the physical plant.
• Perform maintenance: painting, building, repairing, installing fixtures and doors; install window shades, blinds, etc.
• Conduct regular landscaping and grounds maintenance.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure safety and aesthetics.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of facility procedures and policies.
• Attend required on-site appointments and meetings.
