Job summary

Join DISMAS Charities in Florida to support a large non-profit focused on community-based adult re-entry programs. The role involves upkeep of the physical plant, landscaping, and preventive maintenance to ensure safe, functional facilities.

This full-time position requires 21+ and a minimum of two years of maintenance experience; CPR/First Aid and driving license are expected. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least two years of paid general maintenance experience; must be at least 21.
• Ability to read/interpret operating and maintenance instructions; write reports; speak effectively.
• Certifications: CPR and First Aid; Defensive Driving; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities including painting, counters, cabinets, doors, and related items.
• Conduct landscaping and grounds maintenance: mowing, trimming, lawn sprinklers, trees.
• Perform preventive maintenance and keep records; notify supervisor of repairs.
• Ensure OSHA regulations compliance when using tools and chemicals.
• Maintain knowledge of procedures in Physical Plant Manual and related safety protocols.
• Work schedule includes 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday; participate on-site.
