Job summary

Ounce of Care seeks a Part-Time Community Navigator in Chattanooga, TN to engage residents in affordable housing, assist with benefits access, and coordinate services. This on-site, community-based role emphasizes reliability and consistent hours, with a 20-hour workweek and a $24–$28 hourly rate.

Ideal candidates understand local housing residents' needs, have strong communication skills, and can navigate benefits programs while building strong partnerships with housing and community partners.

Qualifications

• Experience navigating government benefits (e.g., SNAP, TANF, LIHEAP, Medicaid) and coordinating care to local organizations.
• Boots-on-the-ground community work and resident-facing roles preferred.
• Ability to commit to a set schedule and be dependable.

Responsibilities

• Outreach & Engagement Specialist: proactively engage residents, build trust, perform on-site engagement during scheduled hours.
• Benefits Specialist & Service Coordinator: assist residents with appointments, benefits applications, referrals in the platform, follow-up.
• Relationship Builder: foster trust with residents and partners, identify needs, coordinate with Providence-area community partners.
