Job summary

Frederick County Virginia Government is seeking a Part-Time Facility Attendant to help maintain a welcoming, safe environment at a Frederick County Community Center. The role supports daily facility operations, programs, rentals, and special events while providing friendly service to our community.

Responsibilities include cleaning, opening/closing the facility, coordinating with participants and staff, setting up equipment for sports and events, and ensuring smooth program delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age at time of application.
• General knowledge of various sports.
• Skilled in customer service, organization, and decision-making.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall facility cleanliness.
• Open and close the facility.
• Serve as liaison between participants, volunteers, staff, and FCPRD.
• Represent FCPRD and follow department policies and procedures.
• Assist officials, scorekeepers, and instructors with enforcement of league/program rules as needed.
• Develop positive working relationships with participants, contracted organizations, and other staff.
• Ensure the smooth operation of programs and the facility.
• Set up and tear down equipment for multiple sports and activities.
• Prepare the facility for scheduled activities and rentals.
