Job summary

The Prince William County, Department of Parks & Recreation is seeking part-time Building Attendants to support adult and youth indoor recreational games and practices as part of the Gym Program and rentals. Work is scheduled in selected Prince William County Public Schools. Applicants must be 18 years of age.

Hours are 6-10 PM weeknights (Mon-Fri), 9 AM–10 PM Saturdays, and 9 AM–8 PM Sundays. Weekend shifts are split between morning and evening; background checks are conducted for staff.

Qualifications

• 8th grade education and 0-12 months of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED may be required for specific licensed programs.
• Must be at least 18 years old for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting the public.
• Sets up equipment and materials for activities and cleans up after programs.
• Maintains equipment and facility for ongoing programs and prepares related records.
• Enforces program rules and provides emergency care as needed.
• Maintains logs and reports; handles cash control and daily transactions.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
