Job summary

Frederick County Local Government is seeking a Part-Time Facility Attendant to help create a welcoming, safe, and well-maintained environment at an FCPRD Community Center. This role supports daily facility operations, programs, rentals, and special events while delivering friendly service to community members and guests.

As a Facility Attendant, you will open/close the facility, supervise space usage, coordinate with officials, staff, and instructors, and help ensure smooth operation of programs

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification is required upon hire.
• General knowledge of various sports.
• Skilled in customer service, organization, and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall facility cleanliness.
• Open and close the facility.
• Serve as liaison between participants, volunteers, staff, and FCPRD.
• Represent FCPRD and follow department policies and procedures.
• Assist officials, scorekeepers, and instructors with enforcement of league/program rules as needed.
• Develop positive working relationships with participants, contracted organizations, and other staff.
• Ensure the smooth operation of programs and the facility.
• Set up and tear down equipment for multiple sports and activities.
• Prepare the facility for scheduled activities and rentals.
