Job summary

The Salvation Army Jasper/Newton County corps in Joplin, MO is seeking a part-time Community Center Program Aide to help run the center and support activities. Qualifications

• Experience in a community center environment is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to relate well with youth, children and unhoused persons.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one is required.
• ARC CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee volunteers and visitors during activities.
• Enforce center rules when needed.
• Assist in kitchen operations and meal service.
• Support leagues, rentals, and other recreational activities.
• Mediate disputes with sensitivity to all parties.
