Job summary

Journey Bank is seeking a Part-Time Community Banking Associate I to join our Hughesville branch on-site. The role supports paying and receiving functions, assisting customers with deposits, payments, and basic transactions while delivering courteous service.

Hours are Monday through Friday with some Saturdays, totaling 25–29 hours per week. The position offers competitive compensation and a solid benefits package, including 401(k) with match, paid holidays, and vacation.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; specialized banking education or training.
• Previous banking experience including customer service is preferred.
• Moderate reading, writing and grammar skills, analytical and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Accept deposits, cash checks and accept utility bill payments.
• Sell treasurer checks, money orders, etc.
• Accept loan payments, safe deposit box rent and other related payments.
• Process night deposits and mail deposits.
• Maintains awareness of new business opportunities with customers, actively refers customers to appropriate customer service personnel.
• Cooperates with, participates in, and supports adherence to all internal policies, procedures and practices for risk management and regulatory compliance.
