Job summary

Georgia Gwinnett College is seeking a Part-Time, Limited Term Bus Driver to support campus shuttle and fleet operations. The role is on-call, up to 19 hours per week, for two years, with pre-employment and random screenings and a required DOT Medical card for Class B license.

Responsibilities include pre/post trip checks, safe transport for campus departments, and accurate trip documentation. DOT compliance and flexibility for evenings or overnight trips are expected.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• 1+ year of experience with fleet assets, fleet management, logistics, or related work.
• Valid Georgia Class B drivers license with passenger/school bus endorsements.
• Eligible to drive a GGC vehicle per policy.

Responsibilities

• Pre/post trip inspections and vehicle cleanliness and readiness.
• Provide safe, timely transportation for campus departments on reserve fleet.
• Respond to trip supervisor instructions and refuel/return keys and gas card.
• Report mechanical issues and follow traffic laws.
• Complete required trip paperwork and manage hours.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and assist with additional duties as assigned.
