Job summary

Gemini, Inc. is seeking a dependable, hands-on individual to support CNC machining operations in Cannon Falls, MN. This part-time position focuses on material handling, machine changeovers, production staging, and preventative maintenance to keep production running smoothly.

The role offers 4-6 hours per day with flexible start and end times between 9am and 3pm. Overtime may be scheduled as needed, and a positive, safety-conscious work environment is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience with equipment or hand tools.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent demonstrated competency.

Responsibilities

• Assist CNC machine operators with setup and teardown during job changeovers.
• Move materials to designated areas and transport raw materials, WIP, and supplies as needed.
• Prepare and stage the next job with raw materials, tooling, fixtures, and other items needed by the CNC operator.
• Anticipate production needs and prepare subsequent jobs to minimize downtime.
• Assist with routine maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of machinery and work areas.
• Maintain assembly supply inventory and support Lean/CI efforts.

Gemini is looking for a dependable, hands-on individual to support our CNC machining operations in our Plaque/Cast Manufacturing group in Cannon Falls, MN! This role focuses on keeping production running smoothly by assisting with material handling, machine changeovers, production staging, and preventative maintenance.

Wage Range:$19.40
Location: Cannon Falls, MN
Type: Part Time
Hours: Hours are flexible! 4-6 hrs/day, flexible start/end times with working hours between 9am-3pm

• Overtime is scheduled as needed.

A day in the life of a Foundry Team Member at Gemini includes:

• Assist CNC machine operators with machine set up and teardown activities during job changeovers.
• Move materials to designated areas and transport raw materials, work-in-process, and supplies as needed.
• Prepare and stage the next job, ensuring raw materials, tooling, fixtures, and other require items are ready for the CNC operator.
• Anticipate upcoming production needs and prepare the next job while the current job is running or finishing, helping minimize downtime between jobs.
• Assist with routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and general upkeep of machinery and surrounding work areas.
• Maintain assembly supply inventory.
• Maintains an awareness of how process improvements can be achieved and makes related recommendations.
• Follows all safe work practices as outlined in Employee Manual and Safety Orientation. Completes all required safety training and participates in monthly connection meetings.
• Drive forklift and other material handling equipment as required.
• Will participate in Lean/Continuous Improvement efforts in the plant.
• Maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees.
• Maintains responsibility for the safety of oneself and other employees in the work area.
• Maintains a neat working environment.
• Perform similar or related various duties as required.

Education and Experience

• Experience working with equipment and/or hand tools
• High School Diploma /GED or equivalent demonstrated competency through work experience

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
