Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana seeks an adjunct CNC Machining & Programming Instructor to deliver hands-on training for non-credit CNC machining and programming, across classroom, lab, and employer-site settings.

Responsibilities include creating engaging curricula, maintaining records, and collaborating with workforce staff to meet local manufacturing needs. Flexible, part-time adjunct role with site travel when required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years hands-on CNC machining or related technical experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one CNC discipline.
• Working knowledge of CNC operation, setup, tooling, and safety practices.
• Ability to translate industry experience into hands-on instruction.
• Ability to work with adult learners with varying experience levels.
• Proficiency in machine setup, operation, programming, inspection, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on CNC machining and programming training in diverse settings.
• Create outlines, materials, labs, and assessments aligned with workforce objectives.
• Demonstrate safe operation of CNC machines, tooling, and equipment.
• Adapt instruction to learners with varying levels of experience.
• Maintain attendance, progress, and course completion records.
• Prepare and submit course documentation on time.
• Support participants with technical questions and skill development.
• Collaborate with Ivy Tech Workforce/Skills Training staff as needed.
• Coordinate training schedules and travel to employer sites as required.
• Utilize PowerPoint, Canvas, CAD/CAM, and controller software in instruction.
